Still playing a little catch up so watch out for these two's (is that proper English?:-) ) wedding post coming soon:-) But until then, I wanted to share a few from their downtown Richmond and Belle Isle engagement session! Kristen and Elliott just recently moved to the area so although they already knew that Belle Isle was special to them, we thought that maybe we could explore downtown Richmond for a little and get a feel for the city! From graffiti to cobblestone to fall blooms...

I cannot tell you how much I love senior sessions and especially this one! I had such a fun time with Brooke and even though the clouds may have scared us a little bit for what was supposed to be a no cloud and no rain evening according to the weather, it still turned out to be an amazing session! Clouds did hover but at least the rain decided to hold off! There were so many great spots at Crump Park to fit the "cowgirl and boots" kind of girl and I

I had so much fun with this family back in the Fall!  It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day.  The sun was shining, there was still a little warmth left in the air, and there were so many fun things for little T – the animals were out, there was a bell that could be rung, bubbles to be blown, grass that could tickle, and best of all, he got to play on the choo-choo train!!  I absolutely love this little guy!!  He is so full of life and his smile just melts your heart!!

I cannot tell you how much fun I had with these two!!  I actually went to high school with both John and Allison and had some of the best times of my life with them!  It had definitely been a couple years since I had seen them but it felt like we just picked up from the last time we saw each other and started laughing and reminiscing from the beginning of the session!  I had so much fun capturing the love between these two and the excitement of growing their family of two to a little family of three!  I am beyond excited for you guys and your little boy, Lucas!  I know you two are going to be amazing parents and I am so honored that I could capture this special time for you all!!!  I can’t wait to meet that sweet little boy of yours:-)  Oh, and Allison, you are amazing, girl!!  I don’t know how many women would be able to rock wearing high heels walking up and down steps, rocks, bridges, and mini-staircases and not to mention, remaining to look absolutely stunning throughout an entire session!! :-)   And you all can see what I’m talking about…does she not look A-MAZING?? read more

This is going to feel like forever ago for this couple as they just continued their love story in November but as promised, I am getting everything up to date from 2012.  I had such a fun time with these two and their love for each other was just bursting!  These two couldn’t be any more in love and I loved getting to know both of them and hearing about their love story:-)  After being rained out once, we were still able to get in their engagement session before Bree was moving out of state!  The day couldn’t have been any more beautiful back in August and I loved getting to see the campus of William & Mary where Bree went to school.  She wanted to do their photos here because there were many beautiful settings, significant locations, and we were only minutes away from the “beach” which was really important for the two of them!  Bree, you couldn’t have been any more spot on with all the locations being gorgeous!  Such a pretty place and if you haven’t been and want a pretty place to walk around for the day, I highly encourage you to go. read more

It is so hard to believe that this was last Spring.  I am throughly enjoying going back through old sessions that needed to be on the blog MONTHS ago but these warm weather pictures get me very excited for Spring!!  This little guy is now walking and talking and it is amazing how fast these little ones grow up on us!  He is seriously the happiest baby with an adorable smile and a funny personality!  Some of these faces that Kellan showed me just make me laugh and I absolutely LOVE them!  This session turned into two because we got a little rained out when we first attempted to catch a few family shots!  But luckily, when we tried again, the sun was shining, Kellan was all ready to go and gave me his best smiles and silly faces, especially with the help of some maracas and dog frisbees:-)  And the best part, we were able to get the whole family for a few shots…the pups included!  And can I just say, these are two of the most well behaved dogs you will ever meet!!  “C” Family, you all are so much fun and I am so glad we were able to get some “entire” family shots:-) read more

I must first warn you that there are a lot of pictures of this little cutie!  There were just way too many good ones and I couldn’t cut them any further.  I guess I just need to learn to not take so many pictures:-)  Maybe one day!  I had so much fun with this shoot and I got to do quite a bit of experimenting too so that comes with why there are so many:-)  This little one was quite the trooper with me moving her all around.  I had her awake and asleep and she was just perfect through it all!  You never know what you are going to get with a four DAY old!  Little missy has the cutest little features from her ears to her hands to her feet and her cute little dimple!  I just loved photographing every bit of little Miss Molly and especially her sleepy little smiles!  Not to mention her sweet little nursery and the little moments that happened in there!  And the wall art in this home fit these pictures and family perfectly! I can’t tell you how much I love these three…or maybe I should say four because I can’t forget Doug, the dog!  Thank you H family for letting me spend such a special time in your lives with you and letting me capture your little cutie!  I can’t wait to watch her grow!  I love you all!  Welcome to parenthood;-) read more
