So, last year , was the FIRST time that Matt and I officially got IN FRONT of the camera for a FULL session of JUST us since got married! (The only other time we had was, of course, with our fav, Katelyn, for our coaching session and some of those are now on canvases in our house!) Matt and I were talking last night and he informed me that we are coming up on our 15 year dating anniversary (WHAT?!?!?) and it just got me thinking. Not only are we...

Read the Full Post just have to stay calm and laugh! Easier said than done, right?! How many times have you heard that before?? But I know it to be very true! And learned so much from this little situation that could have gone another way, but ended up with so much joy, happiness, life lessons and...

Before I started learning patience (wow, that's a hard one to admit!), or at least started paying attention to...

  • So, you asked…”what makes you happy?” Well, this is what makes me happy. The love that I see from these sisters have for each other, my niece’s, and the way unconditional love flow’s from sister to sister. I miss these girls and their Momma more than words can say. I just wish that I was closer to them again to see them grow up. I miss them more that I could ever imagine.i love you girls!ReplyCancel

A wedding at the Mill at Fine Creek was a DREAM and capturing Michelle + Jon's special day was nothing short of emotion! From tears to laughs to a continuous smile on my was the PERFECT winter day for these two and we couldn't be anymore honored to have been a part of it!! When I met Michelle and Jon awhile back, I fell in love with them and their love story almost immediately! And then to hear that they chose The Mill at Fine Creek as ...

I couldn't think of a better way to start off 2015 than with this Richmond engagement with Morgan + Todd! These two are just the epitome of head over heels in love and their love for each other just radiates! Like you see them walking down the street and you can't help but "awww"!! When I met them down in Carytown, they were walking hand in hand and they just looked like they had been together forever! I truly believe that distance makes the heart grow founder and having to have a long distance relationship, Matt and I...

Does anyone else struggle with constantly being on social media? Maybe borderline obsessed? Dare I even say addicted? I have been struggling with this for quite awhile now and I can honestly say, the struggle is real! I had been thinking about it for the past year that I just wanted to not constantly be on my phone. It is all the time! Like, ALL the time! It's the first thing you do in the morning because the first thing you think about when you wake up is "What is everyone...

  • LOVE this post. Such a wonderful reminder, especially when we’re with our kids. I always tell myself “you’ll never get this day back”, and put down my phone (unless I want to take a picture of them), and try really hard to be off when they’re awake!ReplyCancel

I so get this. I reached a point where I realized that I could not spend the majority of my time trying to keep up with 500 people who I like but do not see in my “real” life. I had to make some big changes when it came to facebook. I always thought scrolling facebook was “relaxing” (and am still guilty of thinking this way) but as you said, facebook can really make people feel discouraged. When people say, “Oh your life seems so perfect” I think, “You mean my facebook life? Isn’t everyone’s life perfect on facebook? That’s not real life!” ;-)ReplyCancel

Thanks so much for the reminder and encouragement to spend less time on social media :)ReplyCancel

Thinking of getting a parent album as part of your wedding package? Or as a gift later? Having gotten an album for my parents when I was a bride, I can tell you that I am so glad that I did! I absolutely LOVE looking through ours every time I visit my parents! It is simple and tells the whole story of our wedding day and it brings me back to that day every time! Yes, we have our album too but it is still so much fun to see theirs when we...

Am I the only one or is anyone else noticing that sometimes people you KNOW you follow, don't show up in your feed?!? For some reason especially, my best friend's posts (and others) are not always showing up in my feed...not matter HOW far I scroll back! I promise I know how to use instagram so I don't know what's going on!! :-) But for anyone that is new to the blog or new to following me on instagram at @kristimckeag, I did a little...
