With rain in the forecast and coming down minutes before the ceremony, this was not stopping this special day! This weekend was such a special weekend for this bride and groom, Ranie & Scott, and I couldn't have been any more honored to be their photographer and capture such a special time for them! Ranie's parents, sister, and uncle flew in for the first time all the way from China where they met all of Scott's family and Ranie and Scott's friends. The day started at the Little River Inn
I love these two! They are just so sweet, so perfect for each other, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet!! We decided to meet at Caitlin's parents house in Charlottesville on a late afternoon in August and see if we could squeeze in an engagement session before David had to leave for work for the next couple of months! With rain and clouds in the forecast, we were a little worried but we decided to keep it on the schedule...and it's a good thing we did
I can not tell you how much fun I had the other day shooting this “session”. A big thank you to Miss Shannon for helping me with some promo material for Senior sessions and for some winter light practicing. We headed on over to a local park for what was supposed to be only fifteen minutes and to get two or three shots but of course that never happens with me:-) I am definitely an over-shooter as we photographers like to call it and when you have some good light and a subject that is just too much fun, I try to squeeze in as much as I can! So, what was supposed to be two to three images and fifteen minutes turned in to half an hour and 200+ images, narrowed down to about 50 images.
I could not come up with a better title for this post then Storm Chaser! This is definitely a bridal session that I will never forget!! Unforgettable and yet so much fun! I never thought that I would be chasing a storm for a session but sometimes, you have to get creative and do what it takes to get the shot! Back in August down in Nags Head, North Carolina, my beautiful beach bride, Kristy, and I had our calendars marked for her bridal session. Everything was set up for
Yes, I said bab-ies:-) This post is a long time coming but remember THIS POST where I said I would share more about this session later...well here it is! Back at the end of December, I decided to do a little lighting, camera, new lens practicing and what better way to practice then with incorporating a little Christmas shoot and a little girl that just happened to be perfect for making an announcement...after all, she has a big role...
This is going to feel like forever ago for this couple as they just continued their love story in November but as promised, I am getting everything up to date from 2012. I had such a fun time with these two and their love for each other was just bursting! These two couldn’t be any more in love and I loved getting to know both of them and hearing about their love story:-) After being rained out once, we were still able to get in their engagement session before Bree was moving out of state! The day couldn’t have been any more beautiful back in August and I loved getting to see the campus of William & Mary where Bree went to school. She wanted to do their photos here because there were many beautiful settings, significant locations, and we were only minutes away from the “beach” which was really important for the two of them! Bree, you couldn’t have been any more spot on with all the locations being gorgeous! Such a pretty place and if you haven’t been and want a pretty place to walk around for the day, I highly encourage you to go.
